Charles Vaughn
Over forty years experience in all forms of photography; Still, Cinematography, and Digital are distilled into Charlie's current works. His experience includes still and newsreel/television journalism, commercial still photography, television commercial photography/direction, motion picture production, animation and digital systems design.
His still photography has been published by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, United Press, Associated Press, Sports Illustrated, Life magazine and countless national publications.
Charlie’s news, feature and documentary films
received recognition in the form of numerous Associated Press
Awards and the Sigma Delta Chi ‘Green Eyeshade’
Award. He was a
Cinematographer of credit on a National Emmy Award
winning documentary film for the CBS Television Network. The quality of his hundreds of television
commercials earned many accolades and awards including the national
‘Clio’ award.
While still maintaining his film making
activities, Charles invented the Cinetron Computer Animation
System. This patented system
gained international acceptance and acclaim and is in use worldwide by
major production studios to produce commercial and feature animation and
visual effects.
He was awarded the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and
Sciences ‘Academy Award' for Technical Achievement'
and The Eastman Kodak Company Technical Achievement
Award.
But, try as he might, he couldn’t give his
original love for still photography and now he’s combining it with his
computer expertise to produce these current
